花收到手嗰一刻，其實只係開始。以下每一步都會講埋「點解要咁做」—— 明白咗原理，你先會記得住。 Getting your flowers home is just the beginning. Every step below comes with the reason behind it — once you know why, you'll remember it.
實際日數會因應花材品種、室內溫度同保養方式而有出入。百合、康乃馨、菊科通常較長；牡丹、鬱金香、芍藥天生較短。 The exact number varies by variety, room temperature and how you look after them. Lilies, carnations and chrysanthemums tend to go the distance; peonies, tulips and ranunculus are naturally shorter-lived.
收到花之後嘅第一個鐘The first hour
1 · 拆開包裝，除走保水袋Unwrap and remove the water pouch
花束底部嗰個保水袋只係送遞期間嘅臨時水源，唔適合長時間保留。 That little pouch at the base is a travel companion, not a home. It keeps the stems hydrated on the road — but it's not meant to stay.
2 · 洗乾淨個花瓶Start with a spotless vase
點解：花瓶上肉眼睇唔到嘅細菌會喺水入面大量繁殖，堵塞花莖切口，令花吸唔到水。呢個係花提早凋謝最常見嘅原因。 Why: Bacteria you can't see will multiply in the water and block the cut stems. Once a stem can't drink, everything else you do won't help.
3 · 斜剪花莖 1–2 厘米Trim 1–2cm off each stem, on an angle
點解：用鋒利剪刀以約 45 度角剪。斜切口嘅吸水面積大過平切口，而且唔會貼死喺花瓶底部。花莖離水嗰陣切口會慢慢封閉，重新剪過就等於重新開返條路。 Why: An angled cut gives the stem more surface to drink through, and stops it sitting flat against the bottom of the vase. Stems seal themselves once they're out of water — a fresh cut opens the way again.
4 · 摘走水線以下嘅葉Strip the leaves that sit below the waterline
點解：浸喺水入面嘅葉會腐爛，令水好快發臭、細菌滋生。花瓶注入約三分一至一半清水就夠。 Why: Submerged leaves rot, and rotten leaves turn clean water cloudy within a day. Fill the vase about a third to halfway — no need to drown them.
之後每一日Every day after
換水，順手重新斜剪半厘米Change the water, and re-cut about half a centimetre
呢一步比任何花肥都有效。見到水開始混濁或者有黏稠感，即刻換 —— 嗰陣水入面已經滿佈細菌。 This one step does more than any sachet of flower food. If the water looks cloudy or feels slippery, change it straight away — that cloudiness is bacteria.
擺喺陰涼、通風嘅位置Somewhere cool, out of the sun
避開陽光直射、冷氣風口同暖氣。溫差同乾風會令花瓣好快脫水。 Keep them away from direct sunlight, air-conditioning vents and heaters. Swings in temperature and dry air pull moisture out of the petals fast.
唔好擺喺水果旁邊Keep fruit at a distance
點解：蘋果、香蕉呢類水果成熟時會釋出乙烯氣體，會加速花朵老化同落瓣。 Why: Ripening fruit gives off ethylene gas. Flowers read it as a signal to age — petals drop days earlier than they should.
摘走已經謝咗嘅花同黃葉Take out anything that's finished
同一束花入面每朵花嘅壽命唔同。及早摘走凋謝嗰幾朵，養分同水就會集中俾仲開緊嘅，亦可以防止霉菌傳開。 Not every bloom in a bouquet lasts the same length of time. Pulling out the ones that are done keeps mould from spreading — and lets the rest drink their fill.
呢啲情況唔使擔心Nothing's wrong here
玫瑰最外層有一兩片深色、邊位微微啡嘅花瓣Your roses have a couple of tough, darker outer petals
嗰啲叫「護瓣」（guard petals），係花農特登留低保護內層嬌嫩花瓣嘅。輕輕摘走就會見到裏面完整靚淨嘅花形。唔係壞咗。 Those are guard petals — left on deliberately to shield the delicate inner petals in transit. Peel them away gently and the rose underneath is perfect. They're armour, not damage.
收到嗰陣啲花仲未完全開The flowers arrived still in bud
好多花材（尤其玫瑰、洋牡丹、百合）都係喺未完全綻放嘅狀態送出。咁樣你先可以由頭欣賞到佢盛開嘅過程，整體觀賞期亦會長啲。放喺室溫、有水嘅環境，一般一至兩日就會逐步打開。 We send many varieties — roses, ranunculus, lilies — before they've fully opened. It's the freshest way, and it means you get to watch the whole thing happen. Give them water and room temperature, and they'll open over a day or two.
同相片有少少唔同It doesn't look exactly like the photo
鮮花係天然產品，同一品種每造嘅顏色同形態都有差異。花材亦會因應季節同當日供應調整 —— 遇上呢啲情況，我哋會用同等或更高價值嘅花材代替，並盡力保持相片入面嘅配色、大小同整體造型。 Flowers are grown, not manufactured — colour and form shift from season to season. When a variety isn't at its best, we substitute with something of equal or greater value, keeping the palette, the size and the overall shape true to the photo.
唔同花材嘅小訣竅A few varieties worth knowing

| 繡球Hydrangea | 極度依賴水分。見到花球軟塌，可以將整個花頭浸落清水 20–30 分鐘 —— 繡球嘅花瓣識得由表面吸水。Thirstiest of the lot. If the head wilts, submerge the whole flower head in cool water for 20–30 minutes — hydrangea petals drink through their surface. |

花籃同花牌Baskets and standing arrangements
開張花籃同帛事花牌多數採用海綿吸水設計，唔使換水。可以每日喺海綿上輕輕加少量清水保持濕潤。呢類作品一般擺放喺場地供當日至數日觀賞，唔建議搬動或者移離原本位置。 Opening baskets and standing tributes are built on hydrated floral foam, so there's no water to change — just add a little to the foam each day to keep it damp. These are made to stand where they're placed; moving them around shortens their life.
